Amazing resource for public domain guitar and ukulele melodies written as guitar tabs in PDF

This website is a great resource for teachers to print off music for their students. It would also be great for anyone wanting to learn some tunes, who has some reading knowledge of guitar tab or traditional notation.

I've always struggled to find a decent resource for public domain tunes, for either Christmas music, or general melody work or chord playing. I found this website yesterday by doing a very specific search for what I was looking for. I usually write out my own lesson plans, but when it comes to learning melodies, students respond best to melodies they already know. This gets them working their fingers without worrying too much about reading how the rhythm goes - because they already know how to sing it, or at least how it goes.

The website and all it's content has been made by a teacher called Peter Edvinsson from Sweden. Although the website currently looks a little neglected, don't be put off because there is so much content. There are a few affiliate links, but the good stuff is usually below these, under a heading with "free" and "pdf" in the title.

For guitar there are some ebooks containing compilations of songs, which are worth downloading. For ukulele at first glance there are no ebooks, but there are actually loads of individual PDF's which could easily be made into a decent sized ebook.

In conclusion, if you are looking for some guitar or ukulele tabs with the view of learning or teaching students how to play melodies of traditional or public domain songs, then you probably don't need to look anywhere else other than capotastomusic.com.
